Hanging plating and rolling plating are the most commonly used method of plating, do you know the difference between the two? Here we will tell you.
Hanging plating is suitable for general scale products, is one of the most commonly used methods in electroplating production. Plating, the first will be plated parts hanging in the conductivity of outstanding claw-type hanging device, and then submerged in the plating solution as the cathode, the appropriate distance between the two ends of the placement of the anode, energized so that the metal ions in the parts of the appearance of the buildup.
Hanging plating features:
1, hanging plating each batch of products can be plated in relatively small quantities, the thickness of the plated parts plating layer is generally more than 10μm.
2、Hanging plating is suitable for all kinds of parts plating, generally used for high-priced or large plated parts, the quality of the same field is better than the roll plating.
3、Hanging plating production line is suitable for plating copper, nickel, chromium, zinc, aluminum oxidation, phosphating, plastic plating and other advanced process requirements.
4, plating a single piece of higher current density and will not change with the moment, the tank voltage is low, the plating solution temperature rise is slow, with a small amount of plating, the uniformity of plated parts; but the productivity is low, the amount of equipment and auxiliary appliances maintenance is large.
Roll plating is another commonly used method in electroplating production. It is the parts placed in a drum full of small holes, there is a wire, and relying on the weight of the plated parts themselves and the wire for the unfixed contact, the drum in the plating solution gradually roll, current and plating solution through the small holes in and out of the drum, in the process of rolling the drum to complete the metal electrostatic buildup of the method.
Roller plating features:
1、The limitations of roll plating are more: chrome plating is not possible, the effect of acid copper is poor, and the plated parts are easy to touch the flower or change shape.
2、Roller plating is the workpiece into the drum, the number of each cylinder, the thin layer of 10μm below the process.
3、Tank voltage is high, the temperature of tank liquid rises quickly, the amount of plating liquid brought out is large, generally used for cheap or small plated parts.
4, compared with hanging plating, the biggest advantage of barrel plating is to save labor, improve productivity, equipment maintenance costs and small footprint, tumbling process to make the plated parts of the uniformity of the coating is good. However, the current density of single piece of roll plating is small, the current efficiency is low, the use of roll plating is limited, the plated parts should not be too large and too light.
