Definition of plating process
The production process carried out in the electroplating workshop can be divided into three segments, i.e. pre-plating surface treatment, electroplating treatment and post-plating treatment. Plating process equipment generally refers to the above production equipment that directly processes the parts.
The main processes of pre-plating surface treatment are grinding, polishing, brushing, rolling, sandblasting, de-oiling, de-embroidery, corrosion, neutralization and cleaning. For the parts material, shape, surface condition and processing requirements, select the appropriate several steps, the parts surface necessary finishing process, so that the parts have a smooth and clean surface, which is an important part of the plating can be obtained. Plating pre-treatment process, the main equipment used are grinding, polishing machine, brushing machine, sandblasting machine, rolling machine and various types of fixed tank.
Plating treatment is the main process in the whole production process. According to the requirements of the parts, targeted selection of a single metal or several single metal or alloy plating process on the parts of the plating or dip plating and other processing, in order to achieve corrosion protection, wear resistance and aesthetic purposes. Plating process equipment used in the process are mainly various types of fixed tanks, barrel plating tanks, hangers, baskets and so on.
Post-plating treatment is the parts for polishing, light, passivation, coloring, drying, closure, dehydrogenation and other work, according to the need to choose one or more of these processes to make the parts in line with the quality of equipment. Post-plating treatment equipment commonly used are mainly grinding, polishing machine, various types of fixed tanks.
Surface treatment equipment before plating
In order to get the plating layer, the surface of the plated parts must be cleaned before plating, that is, surface pretreatment. Surface pretreatment is a preparatory work before plating, it has a vital role in the quality of the entire coating.
Surface pretreatment can remove all kinds of dirt on the surface of the plated parts, ensure that the plating layer has good anti-corrosion properties, and improve the adhesion between the plating layer and the surface of the plated parts. The corrosion products on the metal surface are rust, sand, welding slag, dust, scale and various oils, old paints and so on. Before plating, if these dirt is not removed, it will not only affect the adhesion of the plating, appearance, corrosion resistance of the plating, but also may affect the substrate. Therefore, it is necessary to remove these dirt on the surface of plated parts before plating.
Electroplating treatment
Electroplating (Electroplating) is the use of electrolytic principles in some metal surfaces plated on a thin layer of other metals or alloys, is the use of electrolysis to make the surface of the metal or other material parts attached to a layer of metal film process to prevent oxidation of the metal (such as rust and corrosion), to improve abrasion resistance, electrical conductivity, reflective, corrosion resistance (copper sulphate, etc.) and enhance the role of aesthetic and so on. Its basic meaning is: electroplating, plating metal or other insoluble materials as the Yang, to be plated workpiece as the Yin, the cation of the plating metal in the surface of the workpiece to be plated to be reduced to form the plating layer. In order to exclude the interference of other cations and to make the plating layer uniform and firm, it is necessary to use the solution containing the cations of the plating metal as the plating solution to keep the concentration of the cations of the plating metal unchanged. The purpose of electroplating is to change the surface properties or dimensions of a substrate by applying a metal coating to the substrate. Electroplating can enhance the corrosion resistance of the metal (plated metal is mostly corrosion-resistant metal), increase the hardness, prevent abrasion, improve electrical conductivity, smoothness, heat resistance and surface appearance.
Post-plating treatment
Post-plating and pre-plating treatment in the surface of the metal process occupies an important position, many of the products manufactured using surface plating technology defects are often caused by improper pre-treatment and post-treatment, the knowledge of the pre-treatment of the general plating book has a more detailed description, but there is no article on the post-treatment of the plating has not been systematically discussed, the post-treatment of the plating is mainly aimed at improving the plating of the The purpose of post-plating treatment is to improve the corrosion resistance of the plated layer or to maintain the original characteristics of the plated layer, in which the main post-plating treatment is the dehydrogenation treatment and passivation treatment. In order to improve the corrosion resistance of the plating, it is generally necessary to remove hydrogen and passivation treatment at the same time, and some also need to be coated with organic film, such as galvanized parts are generally to be dehydrogenated and chemically passivated, imitation gold plating to be chemically passivated box coated with organic film, and so on.
